Contact Info (linked to your identity)

Name: used for app functionality — to create and manage your account and personalize your experience. Email Address: used for app functionality (account creation, sign-in, deal notifications, and savings tracking) and for the developer's advertising or marketing — to send you updates about new deals and Premium offers. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time. If you sign in with Google, Microsoft, Facebook, or Apple, those providers share the name and email we need to create your account. Your password is managed by our platform's authentication system and is never stored in our app database.

Identifiers (linked to your identity)

User ID: a unique identifier assigned to your account, used for app functionality — to associate your saved deals, savings history, and submissions with your account and to keep your data private to you.

Usage Data (not linked to your identity)

Product Interaction: aggregated, de-identified data about how features in the app are used, collected for analytics to help us improve Bytley. This data is not linked to your account or identity. Our hosting platform (Base44) also automatically collects basic usage data such as aggregate traffic and app performance metrics, which we do not use to identify you.

Deal preferences

We store the restaurant chains you choose to follow and whether you have enabled deal notifications.

Saved deals and savings

We keep a record of the deals you save and the savings you claim, grouped by month, so you can track how much you've saved.

Deal submissions

If you submit a deal for review, we store the details you provide (chain, title, description, deal type, estimated savings, expiration date) and any screenshot or photo you upload as proof.

Guest data

If you use Bytley without an account, your chain selections are stored only in your browser's local storage and are not sent to us until you create an account.

Payment information

Premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your card details — Stripe handles that directly. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription ID to manage your subscription.

We use your information to: create and manage your account; show you deals from the chains you follow; save the deals you bookmark and track your savings; review deals you submit; process and manage Premium subscriptions; send deal notifications (if enabled); send you marketing emails about new deals and Premium offers (you can opt out at any time); and use aggregated, de-identified product interaction data for analytics to maintain and improve the app.

Bytley relies on these third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy: Base44 (hosting, authentication, and database services); Stripe (payment processing for Premium subscriptions); Google, Microsoft, Facebook, and Apple (optional sign-in providers); and Google Fonts (typography). We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only as needed to operate the app (for example, with Stripe to process payments) or as required by law. Your saved deals, savings, and submissions are protected by access controls so that only you and our admins can access them.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your saved deals, savings history, submissions, and personal preferences are removed immediately. Guest data stored in your browser is removed when you clear your browser data. Your email-based sign-in identity is managed by our hosting platform and may be retained by them until you request its removal.

We use the security measures provided by our platform, including encrypted authentication and access controls that keep your personal data private. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You can update your followed chains and notification settings in the app's Settings page, opt out of marketing emails at any time by contacting us, cancel a Premium subscription at any time from the Premium page, or delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.

Bytley is rated for ages 4 and up. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, and we do not direct the app to them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date above.
